Optional captain's practices began December 9th and will run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:30-7:15 A.M.  If there is no school on any Tuesday or Thursday there will be no practice.  Players should come when they can and come to get better by working on their skills.  The 2009 Captains are B.J. Solomon and Sam Stark.

For the past 15 seasons Dave Iverson has been the Head Baseball coach at Spring Lake Park High School.  In that time the Panther baseball program has had great success under Iverson's guidance.  Under his direction the Panthers won their first ever North Suburban Conference Championship in 1995 and won a second championship in 2002. Iverson has coached in two Lions All Star games, has twice been named North Suburban Conference Coach of the Year, and accumulated 179 career wins. This season Coach Iverson will be stepping down as the Panther mentor to join Coach Sukalski and the Blaine Bengals.  Iverson was hired as the new varsity assistant coach for the Bengals.
