B Squad defeats Duluth East after late game single, 5-4

B Squad and Duluth East traded the lead five times on Saturday, but B Squad ended up on top with a 5-4 win in seven innings over Duluth East.

 

Despite Duluth East jumping out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Andrew Jorgensen paced B Squad at the plate. Jorgensen went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Jack Newman recorded the win for B Squad. He tossed three innings of shutout ball. Newman struck out three, walked one and gave up no hits.

B Squad tied the game in the third on a steal of home.

B Squad stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring three runs on two singles.
