Bengals 9A Defeats Irondale In Blow Out Victory Thanks To Third Inning Boost

Bengals 9A scored 14 runs in the third on its way to a 23-1 victory over Irondale on Tuesday.Bengals 9A offense in the inning was led by Damon ThoemkeLukas WestlundGarrett HelmekeIsaac MoinSam Reid, and Thoemke, all driving in runs in the frame.

Irondale opened up scoring in the first inning. Hendren singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Bengals 9A scored 14 runs in the third inning. Bengals 9A's offense in the inning came from singles by ThoemkeWestlundThoemke, and Cole Schmidt, walks by Moin and Helmeke, and an error on a ball put in play by Helmeke and Reid.

Nate Jacobson was credited with the victory for Bengals 9A. He allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out nine. Ryan Wallin threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Wang took the loss for Irondale. He surrendered 17 runs on nine hits over two and a third innings, striking out three.

Bengals 9A tallied 13 hits in the game. ThoemkeSchmidt, and Westlund all had multiple hits for Bengals 9AThoemke led Bengals 9A with three hits in three at bats. Bengals 9A didn't commit a single error in the field. Helmeke had the most chances in the field with 12. Bengals 9A stole seven bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Logan Karnowskiled the way with two.
