Bengals 9A Defeats Irondale In Blow Out Victory Thanks To Third Inning Boost

Bengals 9A scored 14 runs in the third on its way to a 23-1 victory over Irondale on Tuesday.Bengals 9A offense in the inning was led by Damon Thoemke, Lukas Westlund, Garrett Helmeke, Isaac Moin, Sam Reid, and Thoemke, all driving in runs in the frame.

Irondale opened up scoring in the first inning. Hendren singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Bengals 9A scored 14 runs in the third inning. Bengals 9A's offense in the inning came from singles by Thoemke, Westlund, Thoemke, and Cole Schmidt, walks by Moin and Helmeke, and an error on a ball put in play by Helmeke and Reid.

Wang took the loss for Irondale. He surrendered 17 runs on nine hits over two and a third innings, striking out three.
