9B jumps on Coon Rapids early and coasts to 12-2 win

9B jumped out to an early lead on Coon Rapids and captured a 12-2 victory on Thursday at BHS Northeast.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed 9B to put the game away early.

An RBI double by Dominic Henderson, a steal of home by Henderson, and an RBI double by Jack Schwab in the first inning and an RBI double by Nathan Hallaway during the second inning helped 9B put some runs on the board early.

Schwab racked up three RBIs on four hits for 9B.

Justin Brezinka recorded the win for 9B. He allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked six and surrendered four hits.

9B scored three runs in the third inning, and then followed it up with three more in the Fifth. In the third, 9B scored on an RBI double by Schwab, platingMason Bryant.

9B added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A clutch steal of home scored Henderson to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up byCole Martin's single, bringing home Caleb Tuohy.
