9B defeats Anoka after late game wild pitch, 7-4

 

9B took the last of six lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against Anoka, securing a 7-4 victory on Monday at Anoka HS. 

9B took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. A steal of home on a wild pitch by Justin Brezinka gave 9B the lead for good. 

Jack Schwab did his best to jumpstart the offense for 9B, reaching base three times. 

Josh Spencer recorded the win for 9B. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered three hits. 

9B jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. 

Anoka quickly matched 9B's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the first. Anoka scored on a two-run double by Felix. 

9B brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the Fourth. In the third, 9B scored on a two-run double by Grant Knowles, scoring Nathan Hallaway and Schwab. 

Anoka survived 9B's surge and put up two runs of its own in the third. Anoka scored on an RBI triple by Luke and a steal of home by Felix.
