Walk off finish as Champlin Park outdone by Nick Grote and B Squad, 3-2

Mac Enlow went 2-3, sparking B Squad to a 3-2 victory in eight innings over Champlin Park on Tuesday at Paul Parkway.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Champlin Park had no answer for Luke Johnson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Johnson held Champlin Park hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out none.

B Squad jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Andrew Jorgensen got things going for B Squad with a single. A single by Coello then moved Jorgensen from first to second. The scoreboard lit up again for B Squad when Enlow scored on an RBI double by Tony Strand.

Champlin Park scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the fifth. In the third, Champlin Park scored on an RBI single by #22, scoring #14.

Champlin Park tied the game in the fifth on a passed ball that scored #21.

The game went into extra innings and Champlin Park was shut out in the top of the 8th. Blaine jumped out right away in the bottom of the 8th with a single by Jason Kaul. Charlie Studer sacrificed a bunt to move Kaul over to second. The game was ended on a walk off double hit by pinch hitter Nick Grote.
