Joe Daninger helps 9A down Park Center 6-3

9A beat Park Center 6-3 in seven innings on Thursday at Park Center HS behind Joe Daninger, who went 1-2.

He doubled in the fifth inning.

Jon Koenig had an impressive outing against Park Center's lineup. Koenig held Park Center hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

The bottom of the first saw Park Center take an early lead, 1-0. A triple by Stork, bringing home Owyer started the inning off.

Park Center got one-run rallies in the second inning and the seventh. In the second, Park Center scored on a sacrifice fly by Paape, scoring Rudolph.

9A didn't relinquish the lead after scoring five runs in the fifth inning when it scored on two doubles.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the seventh, Park Center faced just a 6-3 deficit. An RBI single by Sherva set off Park Center rally. Finally, Daninger got Rudolph to ground out to end the game.
