Offenses dominate as B Squad outscores Delano/Rockford 10-9

The bats were busy at Paul Parkway on Wednesday, and when the dust cleared B Squad had a 10-9 win over Delano/Rockford in seven innings.

There were 21 hits, including four extra base hits in the game.

B Squad would not relinquish the lead as Delano/Rockford was unable to weather a nine-run third inning deficit.

Delano/Rockford scored on an RBI single by #8, an RBI single by #19, and an RBI single by #5 in the fourth inning and an RBI double by #8, a bases loaded walk by Luke Johnson, an RBI single by #6, a sacrifice fly by #13, and an RBI single by #23 in the fifth inning. Still, Delano/Rockford couldn't draw even.

Connor Melton went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for B Squad. He singled in the first, second, and third innings.

Mac Enlow recorded the win for B Squad. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

#5 was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked none and struck out one.

B Squad closer Coello put away the final seven outs to record the save.

The top of the first saw Delano/Rockford take an early lead, 1-0.

The game's last lead went to B Squad thanks to a first inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on an error, an RBI single by Melton, and an RBI triple by Jason Kaul.

B Squad piled on three more runs in the bottom of the second. A single by Melton ignited the offense,, bringing home Andrew Jorgensen. That was followed up by Enlow's single, plating Coello.

B Squad added four more runs in the bottom of the third. Jorgensen started the inning with a single, scoring Johnson.
