Elk River falls at the hands of the Bengals

Bengals beat Elk River on Thursday 11-3 at Elk River High School in seven innings. 

Xavier Huber racked up four RBIs on two hits for Bengals. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings. 

Mitch Fish pitched lights out for Bengals. Elk River managed just one hit off of the Bengals' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work. 

Justin Brezinka got the win for Bengals. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked six and surrendered two hits. 

The top of the third saw Bengals take an early lead, 2-0. Ashton Mullinssingled to ignite Bengals' offense. Bengals added more runs when Martin scored on a walk by Mason Bryant

Elk River survived Bengals' surge and put up two runs of its own in the third. Elk River scored on a walk by Diamond and a sacrifice fly by Simmons. 

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as Bengals scored five runs on a three-run double by Huber and a two-run single by Nathan Hallaway
