Early lead gives B Squad victory over River Falls, 11-2

B Squad jumped out to an early lead on River Falls and captured an 11-2 victory on Monday at Paul Parkway.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed B Squad to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Charles Studer during the second inning supplied the early offense for B Squad.

Studer had a hot bat for B Squad. Studer went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

River Falls couldn't get anything going so long as Tyler Strand was on the hill. Strand held River Falls hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Luke Johnson got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered two hits.

#4 couldn't get it done on the mound for River Falls, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

B Squad added five more runs in the bottom of the third. A single by Mac Enlow ignited the offense,, plating Connor Melton. That was followed up by Tony Strand's single, bringing home Enlow.
