Blaine 9A Freshman Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Minnetonka

Blaine 9A Freshman took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over Minnetonka on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Blaine 9A Freshman batting in the bottom of the fifth when Spencer Helberg singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Hayden Zenk was the winning pitcher for Blaine 9A Freshman. He went three and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits. Dylan Berg and Tanner Vogel entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Walter Johnson took the loss for Minnetonka. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, walking zero.

Matt Kelly started the game for Minnetonka. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out four and walking one

Ben Wallraff led Blaine 9A Freshman with two hits in three at bats.

Minnetonka was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Josh Daniel made the most plays with six. Danny Dowis led Minnetonka with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
